I use Facebook daily and have many friends which I Keep in contact with, this gave me a perfect chance to create an event which my friends could as though they we real people who would have genuine interest.
I knew that people wouldn't join if they knew it was a real event as it's not something which many people would buy in to, so before hand I sent round an email informing them that this was a 'fake' event. This way people knew that it was a bit of fun and didjnt matter how they reacted etc.
So far several people have joined!! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!
